Preview HTML emails on mobile

The problem

Email templates need to be reviewed on multiple devices. Sending test emails to real addresses clutters inboxes, and some team members may not have access to the sending system.

How ammo.tools solves it

Share links provide read-only access to captured emails without requiring a login. Send the link to designers, product managers or QA testers so they can preview the email on any device.

Setup

1. Send your email template through the staging SMTP to capture it in ammo.tools.
2. Open the captured message in the web interface.
3. Click "Share" to generate a share link.
4. Send the link to reviewers. They can view the email without signing in.

• The rendered HTML email in a sandboxed iframe
• Plain-text alternative
• Subject line and headers
• Attachment metadata (filename, size)

Returns a URL that anyone can use to view the message.

Mobile preview

Share links work on any device with a web browser. The email viewer is responsive and includes both desktop and mobile viewport testing. Reviewers can toggle between HTML and plain-text views.

Things to know

• Share links are valid until they expire or are revoked.
• The HTML preview is sandboxed: scripts are blocked, remote images show placeholder indicators.
• Reviewers cannot access other messages or your ammo.tools account.
• Share links expose the captured content. Treat them as confidential when messages contain sensitive data.
• Attachments can be downloaded through the share link if enabled.
